If You Ever Lose Sight of Jesus

If you ever become easily distracted and busy with life…

If you ever become discouraged with your own shortcomings…

If you ever find most of your time is taking care of others while your own garden is dry and unkept…

If you ever look up from your path in life and realize you’ve lost your focus on Jesus…

We can turn our awareness of less of Him into the cry of our heart for more of Him. He hears that cry. It lights up as on a radar and He comes running. He sees your discontent with less of Him. He wants to remove what seems like a veil that separates you and keeps you at a distance from Him. The veil can be a false belief of what you think He feels towards you. Maybe you think He’s disappointed in you, rejects you or His love is conditional on your behavior.

If you let Him remove that veil. If you hold still long enough and give Him a chance. You’ll find as He lifts that veil and you meet His eyes, clearly, His response is one of delight and kindness. Jesus sees our seeking heart. He doesn’t despise the weakness of our love for Him. The power of His cross makes us washed clean and beautiful, radiantly beautiful in His sight.

Let go of sin and repent, let go of shame and your standard of love. Come to terms with His love for you. We don’t have to understand His love, we just need to receive it.

Titus 3:4-7
But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, He saved us…
